With Andrea Grasso

*Please note no classes on Easter Monday*

Italian Beginners gives you the chance to understand and communicate in simple, practical everyday-life situations, from introducing yourself and getting to know people to ordering food and drinks in a bar / restaurant. Each week you will learn how to use the right language in the right context, you will get to grips with the building blocks of the Italian language and start to speak with ease and confidence in basic situations.

You will get the chance in each session to listen to spoken Italian and to have lots of practice in speaking in pairs and small groups, while being monitored and helped by your tutor.

The main outcome of this course is to show that it is easy and fun to learn a new lanBookings9guage and to enable you to speak Italian during your next holiday in one of the many beautiful Italian cities.

You’ll need a pen and paper, and be ready to learn while having fun!

Week 1 – Intro to the course, saying hello and goodbye, introducing yourself and getting to know the other students.
Week 2-3 – Learning about Italian spelling and pronunciation, talking about your nationality, what you do for a living, numbers 1-10.
Week 4-6 – Introducing friends and family, saying how old you are, talking about your family.
Week 7-8 – Ordering food and drinks in a bar or restaurant.

Learning a new language can be fun. You will learn to speak Italian in a variety of ways: reading, writing, listening, speaking, playing games with your fellow students, talking to your tutor about your difficulties and achievements.

Learning a new language is a great way of keeping your brain fit. It will also enable you to discover more about a different culture, giving you the chance to get a wider and deeper knowledge about Italy, with its amazing and fascinating history, culture and way of life!
